Exodus 17:8-16 "Who is God?" Part 7

Pastor Brian Daly continues this bible study with a sub title of How To Wage War and Win. Battles are going to come. Attacks will be sudden and unprovoked. Challenges will come both internally and externally. Know this, we are all in a battle of flesh versus spirit. Victory will only happen with God’s intervention but we must engage in action. We must engage in the spiritual battle around us. Ephesians 6:10-18. All is won first in prayer, so then contingent on the victory, is the power of prayer. With our hands lifted up like Moses. Temptation is not a sin, it is a battle cry to pick up our sword to fight. Know this also, greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world. A Study Guide is attached for your research.

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. There is not a lack of evidence. Every design has a designer.

Exodus 17:1-7 "Who is God?" Part 6

Pastor Brian Daly continues this study into ancient times, or is it current times?

In this message, the children of Israel have arrived at an intersection. They become demanding, denying and doubting God. A clear message for us that we need to trust and abide even when it does not make sense. Where God guides, God provides. It is not about the moment, or the trial, or the storm we are in. Storms reveal foundations. We need to be tested. To be sharpened. We need Jesus for every breath we take. We need to slow down and not think about what we don’t know, but think about what we do know.

John 7:37-38, 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 among others in the Study Guide, are excellent words of life, manna, that we can endure our struggles with. Come to Jesus. All who hunger and thirst. Let deep cry out to deep.

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. There is not a lack of evidence. If you have questions or need someone to talk to, contact us.

Exodus 16:13-36 "Who is God?" Part 5

The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. To dust, someday, we will return. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. What is happening on the outside is the opposite of what should be occurring on the inside. We should be feeding ourselves spiritually every day from God’s word. Resting, also, as God rested too.

Pastor Brian Daly continues this historical, yet uniquely current, Exodus study for the season we are in. Focusing on how God provided the manna in the morning which had to be gathered before the sun melted it. Their daily bread. When it comes to walking with Jesus, every morning, we need God’s daily bread. We need to rise early and beat the heat. Before our lives get too busy. How also on the 6th day, double the manna was provided so that on the 7th day, they could rest. A Sabbath.

Does God Have Limitations?

God does not work the way we expect Him to work. He has no limitations. My ways are not your ways my thoughts are not your thoughts, the prophet wrote so perfectly of God. We should take great comfort in this. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. On this side of eternity, we need to understand the character of God. It is impossible for Him to lie. He does not change. He can not be surprised. He is love. He is in control. Know this, accept this, and we will have the peace that passes all understanding.

Exodus 16:1-12 "Who is God?" Part 4

Our faith is tested by adversity. Not to believe so, is a misunderstanding of who God is.

Our contentment is not in our current position, our contentment is in our permanent position, with Jesus Christ. Contentment is something we need to learn. Sometimes right now can speak so loudly that we forget the past. Complaining is a lack of faith because seasons change.

The nation of Israel, after being freed from slavery and witnessing the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea almost immediately begin to:

  1. Complain

  2. Blame

  3. Lose their aim

  4. Make false claims

For us, death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit. We need to remember the amazing and long-suffering grace of God:

  1. God hears

  2. God remains near

  3. God will rain down our daily bread

  4. He is our daily bread, let him steer your life

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Do not look to the world for fulfillment, it will never satisfy.
