Exodus 15:22-27 "Who is God?" Part 3

Guest Speaker March Villareal picks up in Exodus 15 with 4 key points so that the children of Israel, and we, may know that He is God.

  1. Travel

  2. Transformation

  3. Test

  4. Tranquility

God brings us to the end of our limitations just to show us our desperate need for dependency on Him. HIs grace is sufficient for us, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. God already knows our skill set. We are put through tests for us to also understand ourselves. Key take away points are:

  1. See God as the Lord of the whole spectrum

  2. See the value of the journey not the destination

  3. Respond well to trouble

  4. Remember tests are for us (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Exodus 15:1-21 "Who is God?" Part 2

  1. He is eternal - the great I Am

  2. He is our strength

  3. He is our song

  4. He is our salvation

  5. He is a keeper of promises

  6. He is a man of war, undefeated

  7. He is all powerful, omnipotent

  8. He alone is God

  9. He is love

  10. He is King and will reign forever

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. If God’s strength was enough for them then, isn’t His strength enough for us today? Then, sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider, He has thrown into the sea. It is not what we have done, it is all about what God has done.

Exodus 14 "Who is God?" Part 1

In all of this uncertainty, Jesus, is the same yesterday, today and forever. In this season, or any season. God is relational and wants to have a relationship with us. The nation of Israel, over 2 million in number, strategically are cornered with their backs against the Red Sea as Pharaoh’s army and chariots approach. At times, we find ourselves in a dead end. It is important to learn from this study that we need to be faithful. We walk by faith, in trust, step by step. God says you follow Me. While we wait, God is setting something up behind the scenes. Moses is not leading, God is leading and He is in complete control. God is our peace, the peace that passes all understanding.

The enemy’s tactics are clear to make us stumble:

  1. Cause fear

  2. Pray doubtless prayers motivated by fear

  3. Cause division

  4. Desire to go backward

We serve a miracle working God:

  1. Walking with God is not without trial

  2. Camping is not always fun, but it is necessary

  3. Fear is contagious but faith is more so

  4. When the enemy comes, remember, our hearts are already spoken for

  5. Jesus saves

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. If you have questions or need someone to talk to, contact us.

Exodus 12:29-13:22 "Don't Forget, REMEMBER!"

After every idol of Egypt has been mocked, Pharaoh relents, but does not repent. Now, 430 years to the day, the people of Israel are released from captivity in Egypt. No matter what we are going through, at the appointed time, this too shall pass. God wants the Israelites, and us, to remember. Why? Because we forget. Keeping in mind that Egypt has always been a reference to the world, here are 5 key take away points.

  1. I am the Lord who delivered you out of Egypt

  2. You are My people

  3. Egypt is not your home

  4. I made a way out of no way

  5. Follow me

Don’t forget, remember. God will not always direct our steps in the shortest way. But the best way, is God’s way. Vertical vision. Let us all be fixed on God’s way.

Exodus 11-12:28 "AWE: that is Dangerous"

On the cusp of plague number 10, Pharaoh is still in opposition. This is a dangerous place to be. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. He Himself will walk this final plague. Three points to study are that it was righteous, it was measured and it was necessary. It is about obedience not negotiation. It is about salvation not compromise. All that is written here is symbolism pointing to the coming of Jesus and His resurrection. The blood is the sign, the precious blood of the Lamb that was slain for the sins of the world.

Who is Jesus to you? Is He a Savior? Is He the Savior? Is He your Savior?

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. It is a moral decision because there is not a lack of evidence. If you have questions or need someone to talk to, contact us.
