Exodus 14 "Who is God?" Part 1
In all of this uncertainty, Jesus, is the same yesterday, today and forever. In this season, or any season. God is relational and wants to have a relationship with us. The nation of Israel, over 2 million in number, strategically are cornered with their backs against the Red Sea as Pharaoh’s army and chariots approach. At times, we find ourselves in a dead end. It is important to learn from this study that we need to be faithful. We walk by faith, in trust, step by step. God says you follow Me. While we wait, God is setting something up behind the scenes. Moses is not leading, God is leading and He is in complete control. God is our peace, the peace that passes all understanding.
The enemy’s tactics are clear to make us stumble:
Cause fear
Pray doubtless prayers motivated by fear
Cause division
Desire to go backward
We serve a miracle working God:
Walking with God is not without trial
Camping is not always fun, but it is necessary
Fear is contagious but faith is more so
When the enemy comes, remember, our hearts are already spoken for
Jesus saves

Exodus 12:29-13:22 "Don't Forget, REMEMBER!"
After every idol of Egypt has been mocked, Pharaoh relents, but does not repent. Now, 430 years to the day, the people of Israel are released from captivity in Egypt. No matter what we are going through, at the appointed time, this too shall pass. God wants the Israelites, and us, to remember. Why? Because we forget. Keeping in mind that Egypt has always been a reference to the world, here are 5 key take away points.
I am the Lord who delivered you out of Egypt
You are My people
Egypt is not your home
I made a way out of no way
Follow me
Don’t forget, remember. God will not always direct our steps in the shortest way. But the best way, is God’s way. Vertical vision. Let us all be fixed on God’s way.

Exodus 11-12:28 "AWE: that is Dangerous"
On the cusp of plague number 10, Pharaoh is still in opposition. This is a dangerous place to be. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. He Himself will walk this final plague. Three points to study are that it was righteous, it was measured and it was necessary. It is about obedience not negotiation. It is about salvation not compromise. All that is written here is symbolism pointing to the coming of Jesus and His resurrection. The blood is the sign, the precious blood of the Lamb that was slain for the sins of the world.
Who is Jesus to you? Is He a Savior? Is He the Savior? Is He your Savior?

Exodus 10:1-20 "AWE: in the face of arrogance"
God is revealing Himself and intentionally unfolds a purposeful plan for redemption as He brings judgement to Pharaoh. God’s question then is still asked of us today, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?’ Just like Pharaoh, we attempt to negotiate and try to raise ourselves up to meet God on the same level. With our own arrogance and pride we try to deal and outsmart God. The Red Sea is inching closer to the Egyptians. We are all inching closer toward our own Red Sea. We must repent, humble ourselves, change our hearts and be set free.

Luke 24:13-35 "Why are you sad..?"
He is risen! Oh how foolish it is in the storms of life, to place our trust in worldly treasures. We need to trust and meditate on the word of God and nothing else. Let us not limit ourselves to only what our hearts can understand. The word became flesh and dwelt among us. He is the way, the truth and the life. His words offer no clichés, rhymes or empty promises. He says come as you are. In any season. He stands at the door of our hearts and knocks. God cannot and will not let you down. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is the remedy to our sadness. Call on Him, and let deep cry out to deep.
