Hebrews 6:13-7 "Jesus, He's just Better!"

Jesus is the anchor to our soul. He is the old, the current, the new and the forever. So then, today, if He has breathed a new season then follow Him into it. There will be no new normal but there will be a new better. Remember the promise of “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” Our best days are always ahead of us. Faith and patience in God’s word and promises are better than gold.

Key points from today’s message:

  1. Superiority of Melchizedek over Abraham

  2. Superiority of Melchizedek over Levi

  3. Superiority of God’s promises and oath

  4. Superiority of performance

  5. Superiority of perfection

Hebrews 5:11-6:12 "Arrested Development"

The Hebrews are struggling with their faith. Walking when they should be running. Are you suffering from arrested development in your faith? Have you reached a plateau? Let’s be honest and take inventory. We have been Christians long enough and should be much further in our walk. It is time to rise up from spiritual immaturity. As a child we needed milk. 10 years later, 20 years later, a milk only diet is no longer nutritious for growth. Once the foundation is built, there comes a time for the builders to begin the building of the structure. Let us not be white washed tombs. In some capacity, we should now all be teachers. God is calling us into deeper waters and it is time to move out of the shallow end.

Action Change Items:

  • Repentance of dead works to faith in God

  • Don’t be dull of hearing, living on milk alone

  • Wade into the deeper waters where He is calling you

  • There is no peace or joy on a prodigal course

  • Don’t play around with the things of God

  • Deny ourselves and pick up our cross daily

Let God finish the work He has begun in you. Jesus will give us strength where we are weak.

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. His evidence is all around us. How is your heart? If you have questions, need someone to talk to or would just like to say hi, contact us.

Hebrews 4:14 - 5:11 "JESUS: not good, He's GREAT!"

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.

Jesus our High Priest:

  1. passed through the heavens

  2. can sympathize with our weaknesses

  3. is without sin

  4. gives us the privilege to come boldly to Him

  5. He is the Son of God

  6. He is forever in the line of Melchizedek

Jesus, before he ascended, He descended to meet us where we are, with mercy and grace. Human hands will never create anything greater than what God has already created. Come to the throne of grace and obtain the mercy and forgiveness you need. Today!

Hebrews 4:12-13 "A Quick Word"

In this season of uncertainty we can have the powerful peace that passes all understanding because God’s word is the same yesterday, today and forever. We call it the Bible, God calls it His spoken Word. All scripture is God breathed, it never returns void. His living Word is the plumb line of our life.

  1. It is scientifically and historically accurate

  2. It has an eternal consistency of fulfilled prophecy

  3. This is a book of the ages that is time tested

  4. It is divine, living, powerful, sharp, piercing, revealing

The grass withers, the flower fades but the Word of God will last forever. The works of the flesh profits nothing. Don’t let there be a famine of the Word of God in your life.

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. His evidence is all around us. How is your heart? If you have questions, need someone to talk to or would just like to say hi, contact us.

Hebrews 3-4:11 "Good is Good, Better is Better."

Hebrews, the book of faith. In this world we can sometimes see good, but in the perspective of eternity, better is better when we consider Jesus. Closed doors open when we walk in faith.

An unbelieving heart is:

  1. an evil heart

  2. a departing heart

  3. a hardened heart

  4. a restless heart

We can daily make good better by encouraging ourselves and others. Today encourage. Tomorrow encourage. So that our hearts are not hardened by the deceitfulness of sin because first sin courts and then it kills.

  1. Luke 5:19-23

  2. Luke 10:17-20

Let us not be shaped by how seasons appear around us. Let us be shaped by what God says in His word.

Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. If you have questions, need someone to talk to or would just like to say hi, contact us.
