Hebrews 4:12-13 "A Quick Word"

In this season of uncertainty we can have the powerful peace that passes all understanding because God’s word is the same yesterday, today and forever. We call it the Bible, God calls it His spoken Word. All scripture is God breathed, it never returns void. His living Word is the plumb line of our life.

  1. It is scientifically and historically accurate

  2. It has an eternal consistency of fulfilled prophecy

  3. This is a book of the ages that is time tested

  4. It is divine, living, powerful, sharp, piercing, revealing

The grass withers, the flower fades but the Word of God will last forever. The works of the flesh profits nothing. Don’t let there be a famine of the Word of God in your life.

Hebrews 3-4:11 "Good is Good, Better is Better."

Hebrews, the book of faith. In this world we can sometimes see good, but in the perspective of eternity, better is better when we consider Jesus. Closed doors open when we walk in faith.

An unbelieving heart is:

  1. an evil heart

  2. a departing heart

  3. a hardened heart

  4. a restless heart

We can daily make good better by encouraging ourselves and others. Today encourage. Tomorrow encourage. So that our hearts are not hardened by the deceitfulness of sin because first sin courts and then it kills.

  2. Luke 10:17-20

Let us not be shaped by how seasons appear around us. Let us be shaped by what God says in His word.

Who am I can be answered with a question, ‘Who is Jesus to you?’ God wants to meet us now, exactly where we are with all of our baggage and honesty so we can truly be born again. The God of the universe was willing to put Himself into time and space, take the form of man, to walk where we walk, to bring His perfect love to us. We have been paid for with a price, created for a purpose in this world and the world to come. Jesus Christ, is the Captain of our salvation.

Hebrews 1:1-14 - 2:1-4 "Jesus is Greater"

So begins a new study, the book of Hebrews. Who wrote it? No one is identified. For who was it written? Jewish Christians, the Hebrews. Why was it written? They are struggling with their faith. Are we? He is no longer silent when we read the word of God out loud. We can hear Him speak through our voice.

Key Points:

  1. Jesus is the heir of all things

  2. through Him, God made the universe

  3. He is the brightness of God’s glory

  4. He is the expressed image of God

  5. He is upholding al things by the power of HIs word

  6. He, by Himself, made purification from our sins

  7. He sits down at the right hand of God

Jesus, is the final word. Jesus, one sacrifice, in full, for you and I.

Judges 13 "Divine Dialogue" Part 6

Searching to know God is the greatest desire of our hearts. This is true contentment. Peace in any storm.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Points to remember:

  1. Be distinctly different, we have been called out of this world

  2. What is hindering us as we move into the New Year?

  3. Pray

  4. Follow after Him

  5. Cultural seduction is bondage

  6. The jail cell is wide open, let us walk out and into 2021 with freedom
