Exodus 3:1-10 "Burning...not Consumed"

Pastor Brian Daly begins Chapter 3 in this study. The burning bush moment when God gives Moses the call and the commission. God called Moses by name, He knew his name and He knows your name. The Creator of the Universe knows you by name. God sees, He hears and knows your sorrows. He will save you from something to prepare you for something. In this case Moses will lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. Keep in mind, Moses is only 80 years young.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Exodus 2:11-25 "The way UP is DOWN"

God wants to call us all to a higher purpose. Many times there is a waiting period. At times it may feel like it is a long waiting period, of dry time, when nothing is happening. We can not expedite the perfect work of God. This is because the training has to happen, the steps have to be climbed. The way up is really down because we need to be emptied to be filled. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and trust that God is working, and in His timing, it will come to pass.

Exodus 2:1-10 "Raising up a deliverer"

Exodus, is the book of redemption. One family will have a child, Moses, that will change history. Moses, (I drew him out of the water) for the first 40 years of his life was learned in all wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and deed (Acts 7:22). It is a bottomless pit to try and satisfy the desires of the flesh. Sin is always a passing pleasure. Moses will be called out of Egypt. What is God trying to call us out of? What sin defines us that we need to be set free from? If the Son has set you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36)!
