Hebrews 8 "I WILL vs. you shall"
New Covenant versus Old Covenant.
Covenant: An agreement between 2 parties.
OLD COVENANT: Was the agreement God made with the nation of Israel in the book of Exodus. Obey God’s laws to live. If you shall then I will. 10 commandments then grew to 613 laws. Laws of rules and standards, creating hypocrisy and numbness.
NEW COVENANT: Was needed because the law will never change us from the inside out. The New Covenant is:
Based on what God says “I will do” not what you say you will do.
Because we are now led from within. Being changed on the inside.
We now have 24/7 access now to to God with Jesus as our mediator.
We have forgiveness of our sins. Removed and forgotten as far at the east is from the west and remembered no more. Paid in full from Adam to you today by Jesus. We have been forgiven.
Works based religion, an old covenant system, does not work anymore. Jesus came to tear that veil and break the wall of separation. No person can stand anymore between us and Him. It is time to let go of the old and take hold of the new, Jesus. He is the mediator for a better covenant with better promises.

Hebrews 6:13-7 "Jesus, He's just Better!"
Jesus is the anchor to our soul. He is the old, the current, the new and the forever. So then, today, if He has breathed a new season then follow Him into it. There will be no new normal but there will be a new better. Remember the promise of “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” Our best days are always ahead of us. Faith and patience in God’s word and promises are better than gold.
Key points from today’s message:

Hebrews 5:11-6:12 "Arrested Development"
The Hebrews are struggling with their faith. Walking when they should be running. Are you suffering from arrested development in your faith? Have you reached a plateau? Let’s be honest and take inventory. We have been Christians long enough and should be much further in our walk. It is time to rise up from spiritual immaturity. As a child we needed milk. 10 years later, 20 years later, a milk only diet is no longer nutritious for growth. Once the foundation is built, there comes a time for the builders to begin the building of the structure. Let us not be white washed tombs. In some capacity, we should now all be teachers. God is calling us into deeper waters and it is time to move out of the shallow end.
Action Change Items:
Repentance of dead works to faith in God
Don’t be dull of hearing, living on milk alone
Wade into the deeper waters where He is calling you
There is no peace or joy on a prodigal course
Don’t play around with the things of God
Deny ourselves and pick up our cross daily
Let God finish the work He has begun in you. Jesus will give us strength where we are weak.

Hebrews 4:14 - 5:11 "JESUS: not good, He's GREAT!"
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
Jesus our High Priest:
passed through the heavens
can sympathize with our weaknesses
is without sin
gives us the privilege to come boldly to Him
He is the Son of God
He is forever in the line of Melchizedek
Jesus, before he ascended, He descended to meet us where we are, with mercy and grace. Human hands will never create anything greater than what God has already created. Come to the throne of grace and obtain the mercy and forgiveness you need. Today!

Hebrews 4:12-13 "A Quick Word"
In this season of uncertainty we can have the powerful peace that passes all understanding because God’s word is the same yesterday, today and forever. We call it the Bible, God calls it His spoken Word. All scripture is God breathed, it never returns void. His living Word is the plumb line of our life.
It is scientifically and historically accurate
It has an eternal consistency of fulfilled prophecy
This is a book of the ages that is time tested
It is divine, living, powerful, sharp, piercing, revealing
The grass withers, the flower fades but the Word of God will last forever. The works of the flesh profits nothing. Don’t let there be a famine of the Word of God in your life.
