Psalm 51 is a prayer of reconciliation. Sin acknowledged, salvation understood and sacrifice clarified. If we do not grieve how God grieves, we need to stop and check ourselves. Salvation is that we have not sinned beyond God’s ability to forgive. He will restore us. Wash us white as snow. Empty us and then fill us with His words of life.
Let us realize what we can do and what only God can do.
Let us not create obstacles where there are none
Let us strive to respond rightly to low feelings
Let us seek after the right sacrifices
Let our perspective be grace, gratitude, worship and ministry
